🔗 Share this article Hulu to Bring a Popular Game TV Show from the Minds of the Alien Series and the Comedy Hit. The most recent action-packed title that audiences dived into was Far Cry 6, which starred Giancarlo Esposito as the antagonist, Antón, and debuted during October 6, 2021. In the game universe, it is known for celebrating chaos and insanity with similar enthusiasm, all while telling engaging, ideologically themed narratives. It’s no surprise that FX's recent announcement for a Far Cry limited-run show attracted two creators whose work have embodied all of those elements. What to Expect Adapted from Ubisoft's successful video game franchise, the short-run anthology series will be available on Hulu and will be created by FX Productions. The series will also follow the video games' structure by featuring a fresh backdrop and group of personalities in subsequent series. Executive Team Rob Mac, creator of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and Noah Hawley, the visionary behind FX's Alien: Earth and Fargo, will serve as showrunners on the series via their companies, More Better Productions for Mac, and 26 Keys for Hawley. They will be partnered by Emilia Serrano for 26 Keys, Nick Frenkel for 3 Arts, Jackie Cohn for More Better Productions, John Campisi, Gerard Guillemot, Margaret Boykin, and Austin Dill for Ubisoft Film & Television. The network enjoyed excellent partnerships with Rob Mac and Noah Hawley for a total six series and 32 seasons of television, and we are overjoyed that they are working together for Far Cry,” said Nick Grad, President, FX Entertainment, in a statement. “I have no doubt that they will present this story in a way that is fresh, gripping, and wildly entertaining. We also want to acknowledge our partners at Ubisoft for placing confidence in us with this cherished property.” Cast and Future Plans Mac will also star in the show, but as of now, we do not know what character that may be. Hawley's Alien: Earth was not long ago greenlit for more episodes, with FX and Disney agreeing to a new long-term contract with the producer. “Having the opportunity alongside Noah Hawley is a dream realized,” said Rob Mac. “Ubisoft has been exceptionally accommodating, trusting us with one of the most renowned video-game worlds ever created. And along the way, my FX family constantly supports me with their ongoing trust and assistance.” “The aspect I admire about the Far Cry game collection is that it’s an standalone show. Each game is a variation of a idea, the same way each season of Fargo is a variation on a premise,” said Hawley. “To create a epic action show that can evolve from season to season, while always exploring the core of people through this multifaceted and unpredictable viewpoint, is a ultimate goal. I’m eager to work with Rob and introduce our mutual unconventional, visionary style to the audience.” A time frame for when we can look forward to the new Far Cry show has not yet been revealed. The series will premiere on Hulu in the United States and on Disney Plus in other regions.
